It’s 2024, and you’ve just realized that your tech skills are so 2020. You’re trying to code in Python, but your computer laughs.

Panic sets in!

Pluralsight Pros and Cons
Pluralsight is an online career booster with over 7,000 courses in technology and business.
Pluralsight Skill IQ guides you into the courses you need to become an expert in your field.
If you work using the exercises, quizzes, and software playgrounds, you will become the expert your company needs.
But the platform is not perfect. I found a few issues in my Pluralsight journey.
Pluralsight does offer more tools to teams than individuals, and it is not a vehicle to a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
But if it's not checking all the boxes for you, you might try one of the schools below.
My Pluralsight Experience: Regaining Software Skills
Today, C# is a mainstay language, but I was there when Microsoft first announced C# and .NET.
I spent hours at in-person classes (we didn't have online courses then) and at the bookstore, learning from books that were often rushed to the publishers before the final edit.
Twenty years later, I tested my C# skills using the Pluralsight Skill IQ tool.
My jaw fell when it asked me questions I didn't know could exist.
Microsoft had added to the language since I learned it. I scored better than only 13% of my peers.
A very humbling experience.
Skill IQ recommends C# 9: Getting Started.

Opening the course puts the course chapters on the right side and the video across the rest of the page.
The video played quickly, and I could easily fast-forward and rewind.
The course covered the Visual Studio stack, data types, libraries, and namespaces.
Not every question I got wrong on the test was covered in the suggested course, but the online course content was great as a refresher.
I don't think a non-programmer would enjoy the class as much as I did, but I think anyone with some programming background would get plenty of value from it.
