Step 1: Register a Domain Name
- Go to Namecheap.com
- Enter the name you want in the search box.
- If your name is taken, search for other names until you find one you like.
- Add the domain name to your shopping cart.
- Don’t check out just yet. You will add web hosting to your cart in the next step.
Step 2: Get Web Hosting
- Go to Namecheap web hosting.
- Choose the Stellar shared hosting package
- Add the hosting to your cart
- Checkout to buy your domain name and web hosting
Step 3: Assign Your Domain to Your Web Hosting
- Go to your Namecheap Domain List
- Click on the domain name you just purchased
- Scroll down to the Name Servers section
- Make sure the domain is assigned to Namecheap Web Hosting DNS
- Save your work
Step 4: Install WordPress
- Click on the Hosting List link
- On the row with your new hosting account, click the Manage button
- You are now logged into the cpanel, the administrator for your hosting
- Scroll to the section Softaculous Installer
- Choose WordPress and then click the Install button
- Fill out the installation fields as follows:

- Select the Settings->Reading menu
- Select Your Homepage displays your latest posts and saves changes.
- select Settings->Media
- Assign 225 width and 150 height to the Thumbnail Size
- Assign 450 and 300 to the Medium size
- Assign 1200 and 800 to the Large size
- save your changes
- Go to Settings->Permalinks
- Choose Post Name permalink structure
- Enter the letter c in the Category Base box
- Enter the letter t in the Tag Base box
- Save your changes

- Add the text: My text
- Click the settings menu (see picture) and ensure Post (instead of Block) is selected.

- Click Add New Category
- Enter My Category in the New Category Name
- Click the Add New Category Button
- At the top right of the blog, click Publish
- When the View Post pops up at the bottom left, select that or click the button just to the left of Publish to view your post.
